I help healthcare and life-science companies turn complex biomedical science into clear, credible communication.
Research-trained. Writing-focused. A background in biological research, translated into scientific communication for clinicians, patients, and the businesses that serve them.
Scientific expertise doesn't automatically translate into clear communication.
Genomics platforms, diagnostics, oncology research, and drug-discovery tools are often built by people who understand the science deeply — but explaining that science to patients, clinicians, or investors is a different skill. When the gap goes unaddressed, technical audiences get content that's too shallow, and general audiences get content they can't follow. My work sits in that gap: understanding the evidence first, then writing for whoever needs to act on it.
Hands-on research in immunology, cancer biology, and ecology, including a presented poster on renal cell carcinoma biomarkers.
Working knowledge of molecular docking, ADMET analysis, and PyMOL, plus Python and Pandas for data work.
Co-authored two peer-reviewed book chapters and an independent 30-page research report.
Translates clinical and computational concepts for patients, clinicians, and business audiences — in plain, accurate language.
A patient-facing guide covering infertility stigma in Pakistan, PCOS and male-factor infertility, the IVF medication timeline, and local cost realities — written for couples starting the process.
A general-audience explainer breaking down innate and adaptive immunity, the body's physical and chemical barriers, and the role of white blood cells, lymph nodes, and bone marrow.
A short scientific product description explaining CoQ10's role in mitochondrial energy production and why liposomal encapsulation matters for absorption.
A consumer health article distinguishing routine morning sickness from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, structured around a comparison table and sourced from Mayo Clinic and NHS references.
A full-length research report on ladybeetles' role in pest control, including findings pointing to a potential 40% reduction in pesticide use. Demonstrates independent research and long-form technical writing from primary sources.
I came to scientific writing through research, not around it. My background is in biological sciences — immunology, cancer biology, and ecology — with hands-on training in bioinformatics tools like molecular docking, ADMET analysis, and Python-based data work.
Along the way, I found that the harder problem wasn't generating the science — it was communicating it clearly to the people who needed to understand it, whether that was a patient, a clinician, or a research audience. That's the work I do now: understanding the evidence, then writing for whoever has to act on it.
